My interest at this stage of life is more into discovering who I am as an African American, and the history of my family trials and tribulations that they endured, so that future generations will not only preserve the past history of their beginnings, but to analyze it so that they can set a legacy of what to look forward to in future generations.

 

  • Genealogy - I have found out that the task of searching for my family history can be very overwhelming to accomplish even the simplest undertakings as two generations before me. It is partly due to the fact that family records are poorly kept, the accuracy of spelling names and entering correct data on official records in the early century, the usage of nick names, and lack of disclosure of family members

  • Travel - I enjoy the beautiful scenery of each country that I had the opportunity to visit, along with the many different types of food's that each culture prepared.

  • Black Heritage Stamp Collection - This is one of the easiest and most informative ways to learn about African Americans that have helped to shape this country into a powerful nation.
